Aqua box
A project co-ordinated by the Rotary Club of Wirksworth, Derbyshire that sends out
'aqua boxes' to areas where there have been disasters such as war, drought, earthquake,
flood, typhoon, hurricanes to help the survivors help establish a safe drinking
water supply. Pupils can raise funds to 'buy' an aqua box to send out after a disaster
and also fill it with items to assist the disaster victims and help them rebuild
their lives.

Oxfam - Water for All
A free to download, interactive resource featuring stunning colour photos to help
you teach about water and its significance. Includes classroom activities, case
studies, quizzes and whiteboard activities for exploring the importance of water,
water shortages, and ideas for positive action. In addition, there are photo case
studies about water from Senegal, Cambodia, Uganda, East Timor, Ghana, Burkina Faso
and Switzerland. Useful for teaching Geography, English, Maths, Science and Citizenship
to students aged 9-13.
